3 month old baby
3
month old baby pushes down on
legs when feet are on a firm surface. Let your 3 month old baby stand for a few seconds with some help from
you. Hold him/her in a standing position with his feet on the floor and he/she will
push down and straighten his/her legs. Let him/her bounce a couple of times if
he tries.
3
month old baby may swipe at
dangling objects and may grasp and shake hand toys. Your 3 month old baby is learning hand-eye coordination. Lay
his/her under an infant gym and she'll throw her whole body into
batting and grabbing for the dangling toys. Hold a toy in front of his/her
while baby sitting on your lap and let his/her try to reach for it.
Your 3 month old baby is a full-on social animal and will charm you and your
visitors with lots of eye contact, hand gestures, smiles and delighted baby
‘talk’ when they are happy and when you take turns in a baby conversation with
them. You might even be rewarded with your baby’s
first chuckle. Of course there are still everyday ups
and downs and your baby will be sure to let you know when they’re annoyed or
uncomfortable by crying. If they have been suffering from colic in the first
three months you may have been struggling with a lot of crying and fussiness,
especially in the evenings, but you’ll be relieved to learn that colicky
symptoms usually start to ease off around now.
